I love the Bachelorette. There’s something about a bunch of guys acting like idiots to win a girl’s heart that just makes me laugh. There’s also something about a bunch of guys with identical haircuts trying to be cool that makes the show pretty frat. The fact that they all live in a house together is already frat. The guys try to establish themselves as the best in the house, which is also frat. However, some guys are more frat than others. Here’s a ranking of the 12 contestants that are the most frat. I only included the ones that were relevant and/or interesting. The rest are obviously geeds.
Derek is a nice guy. He may be a little too nice, but he also isn’t afraid to call people out when they’re causing trouble. However, he pretty much keeps to himself. That’s what makes him rank so low on the list. Derek has also called out the guys in the house for acting like “frat boys,” and said he doesn’t like “frat culture,” so he’s not very frat. He still got a bid, but was over it as soon as he got initiated. Honestly the only reason he’s on this list is because he looks like Jim Halpert and that’s enough for me to want to give him a bid, despite the fact that he’s not frat.
Chase likes to stay quiet when it comes to the other guys. He keeps his eyes on what’s important: JoJo. We don’t hear anything from him if he’s not on a date, and I honestly forgot about him until JoJo mentioned him in the last episode. He’s the guy who lavaliers his girlfriend and makes everyone remember who he is. I have no problems with Chase, and I think he’s really sweet, but much like Derek, he’s too genuine to be truly frat.
Wells is too cool to buy into all the drama. He’ll contribute to the conversations and he always knows what’s up, but he never starts anything. He just kinda floats on and doesn’t really stand out. This is a good thing; he’s the token “alternative” member that was levels out the house. Good guy, but not very frat.
I don’t really know much about Grant, but apparently a lot of fans don’t like him. He seems nice enough, but there’s something about him that made me think he was up to something. He was just too smooth, and I didn’t trust him. Unfortunately we didn’t know much about him before he was eliminated, so I can’t really decide if he’s frat or not. Next.
Evan is the guy you recruit when your chapter is under fire for not being “diverse” enough or being “too perfect”. No one knows how he got there, but everyone just kind of went with it. Chad once said that “no one picks Evan for anything,” so it’s a miracle he made it as far as he did. This may put him towards the bottom, but his creepy demeanor and the way he treated JoJo like a “prize” bumps him up on the frat scale.
Daniel is a weird one. After the first episode, I thought he would be more frat. I mean, he got drunk, took off his clothes, and jumped in the pool, all in the first episode. That’s pretty frat. Unfortunately we haven’t really seen much from Daniel besides him latching on to Chad. Judging from his bio, he’s also pretty self-centered, referring to himself as a “lambo” twice. He has the potential to be frat, and he’d probably be president of a really lame chapter. Better to be a nobody in a top tier than the leader of a dysfunctional chapter, am I right?
Robby has this weird way of getting JoJo to love him before she even really learned who he was. A lot of frat boys have this effect on freshman girls in underage bars, so this already makes him pretty frat. The only thing preventing him from being truly frat is that he used to be a competitive swimmer, and was probably too wrapped up in swimming to participate in frat activities like drinking beer, eating junk food, and skipping class.
5. James Taylor
James Taylor is my favorite contestant. He has a way of winning over everyone’s heart, and people have already been saying they want him as the next Bachelor if he doesn’t win. He plays the guitar, and makes sure everyone is always having a good time. JT would probably be social chair because he’s just so fun and everyone likes him. Pretty frat.
Luke is a nice Southern boy, which automatically makes him frat. He loves America and made a grand entrance on the first night, which also makes him frat. The only thing that keeps him from being the most frat is that he also doesn’t start any issues. He’s involved, but tries to stay neutral and ask questions. Luke is probably the guy that would settle arguments between brothers. Every chapter needs one.
Jordan is the guy who only got a bid because everyone knows his brother, but he’s surprisingly frat. He’s JoJo’s obvious favorite, and is probably the guy who would end up dating the Sweetheart if he could. Because he’s a legacy, people question his legitimacy and whether or not he could’ve gotten in without the help of his brother, but deep down he really cares and is truly frat.
Alex is a weird one. He seems like the guy who has nothing interesting about him except his brothers. When you hang out with Alex alone, he’s boring, but he’s suddenly interesting when someone he doesn’t like shows up. Alex was the spokesperson for everyone who hated Chad, so I feel like despite knowing nothing about his personality, he’s the guy who makes sure the Judicial Board needs to print more incident sheets. The second someone hurts his feelings, he won’t shut up about it. There’s one in every chapter, so though he’s annoying, he’s still frat.
Chad is the self-proclaimed alpha male. He works out in front of everybody, eats all the food in the house, and calls everyone out on their crap. He threatens everyone who rats him out or tries to stop his shenanigans, because no one stops a Chad party. Chad doesn’t care what anyone else thinks, and he’s rolling in all the attention he’s getting right now. After he was eliminated, he bought all the contestants’ domain names and stole Robby’s ex girlfriend. Frat AF.
